A Breathtaking Start to a New Tradition

This past weekend marked the exciting debut of the Raiffeisen SanBe Gravel Race, and Unforgettable is proud to have co-organized this unforgettable event. Set against the majestic backdrop of San Bernardino in the Swiss Alps, the race offered participants not only an exhilarating challenge but also an immersion into one of the most beautiful natural landscapes Switzerland has to offer.

More than 60 cyclists took part in the first edition of the race, representing both Swiss and international riders. With two courses to choose from—72 km for the long distance and 36 km for the short—participants experienced a dynamic blend of terrain, including dense forests, wooden bridges, gravel paths, and stunning lakeside routes around Isola and Pian Doss. The course’s highest point, the breathtaking Pian Cales and Valle del Silenzio, tested riders’ endurance, while the descent back to San Bernardino village rewarded them with awe-inspiring Alpine views.

“The feedback from participants has been incredibly positive, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how the event turned out,” said Tom Alemanno, Head of Unforgettable Company. “Working closely with San Bernardino Swiss Alps, we knew this unique setting was the perfect match for a gravel race. The course itself, combined with the lively atmosphere in the race village and the San Bernardino Beer Fest, made for an extraordinary day.”

In addition to the race, the event’s community spirit was at the forefront. Unforgettable was delighted to contribute 5 CHF from every registration to support the Mesolcina Valley, which had recently been affected by devastating floods. The event was a true collaboration, with support from the Municipality of Mesocco, sponsors, and volunteers, to whom we extend our deepest gratitude.
